San Francisco's Hugh Briody (1906)

Actually, San Jose CA was more important to him because that is where he settled with his wife Lizzie Zimmerman and where they had two daughters, Marie and Priscilla. Lizzie was originally from Wisconsin. A number of the Briody family stayed in San Francisco, including the Dunns and a priest brother of Hugh.

However, Hugh was in San Francisco for the 1906 earthquake. He survived the first shocks and fled to Golden Gate Park where he had to camp for awhile.
